Metallic taste from metformin

Has anyone else experienced this....im new to the medication side of things...t2 since March 2014,

recently out of hospital after blood sugar was raised by prednisone to 38.4 mmol/L.

Now on Novomix and metformin....still got metal taste when eating....how long b4 it goes away?
 
In my case it didn't. The dose was halved to combat it and then stopped. I no longer take it.
 
I had that foul taste for a month so I just kept dropping the weight, changing the diet and upping the water. Many people have an issue with it but AFAIK, it subsides.
 
Hi I have been managing my diabetes 2 with LCHF since 2011. I have also been fasting, both work, but from time to time it does not work. So I am now trying Metformin slow release 500mg once a day. But I have found that my mouth becomes incredibly dry! Any one else ?
