Metallic taste in mouth?

Whenever I eat foods with sugar in I get a weird metallic taste at the back of my tongue and it feels all furry (if this makes sense). I had to change my milk to lactose free because I was having stomach troubles and thought it was this but I’m still having the problem, I had porridge with a teaspoon of sugar on and my tongue feels horrible?

Is this diabetic related? Thanks

I remember decades ago, my Dad always used to complain about a weird metallic taste in his mouth, and it was the first symptom that he had type 2- at least the problem went away after he was diagnosed and got his sugars under control.
Whether it's the same thing as your issue, I don't know, but I think it could easily be diabetes related.
