METER RECALLED

If you are referring to the recall on certain One Touch meters I spoke to someone at One Touch weeks ago who said a new replacement meter would be put in the post but as yet I have received nothing.

A very bad service IMHO.

My VerioIQ meter has always read higher than any other meter so I had stopped using it anyway but if I was relying on it I would be very very unhappy indeed.

I suppose that you could contact them by phone and ask.
Thankfully there aren't many people that are likely to ever reach a level of 56.8 mmol/L at which the fault occurs . That's presumably why it's gone unnoticed.
Most people would be seriously ill before they reached anywhere near that level.
(though according to the Guinness book of records, the highest recorded was 147.6 mmol/L!!! )

I find it interesting that Abbott in the US have recalled the FreeStyle InsuLinx (only a recall in the US at the moment as far as I know. )

Once again the fault occurs at the same level 1024mg/dl is 56.8mmol/l

I suspect that all the companies may be busy testing to find out if any of their meters have a similar fault.
