Hi I took my blood on a onetouch verio iq and said I was 162. Less than a minute later tested it on a onetouch ultra2 and it said 266.....which do I believe? Is this common? Thanks

Some inconsistency is normal, but your readings shouldn't have that much variation. I would have tested a second time and on each meter to see where the error occurred.

Of note: make sure your hands are clean and dry before testing. Water, alcohol, or anything else on your fingers can significantly throw off your results.

Strips get contaminated, skin can be contaminated, blood samples vary and meters from different manufacturers seldom agree. You need to test your meters against control solution to be sure you can trust the readings.
Meters are at their most accurate at the lower end of the scale

All of the above and to add that soap has sugar in it so when washing your hands, rinse thoroughly.
