Hi I am type 2 diabetic. I am on slow release metformin (4 each morning) my blood sugars stay between 14 and 22. I admit not the best behaved diabetic but do try. I have however noticed that when I go to toilet (no 2) there are four white torpedo shapes in my stools and when I am sick which is most mornings due to phlegm (sorry to be graphic) there are 2 to 4 white torpedo shaped items. The only explanation I can come up with is my Metformin not digesting fully .. Please can I have your opinions. x

Nothing to worry about @debbedy37 and welcome to the forum.

The shells of Glucophage SR tablets may pass through your gut undigested and be visible in your faeces. This is normal.

I'll tag @daisy1 to give you some basic information that you might find helpful to manage your diabetes.

Read around the forums, ask any questions that you have and someone will always answer.
