I've been taking Metformin 500mg x2 daily for around 4 years, great for my levels, but wake up feeling nauseated frequently. Does anyone else have this problem? Dr. and practice nurse seem somewhat disinterested.

Yes, frequently. The doctor and DCN probably don't know what to say, probably most of the tablets you take will list nausea and vomiting as side effects. I had the same problem and was given something to reduce my stomach acid which has helped some, but what was the first side effect listed? Nausea and vomiting!
