Metformin and anxiety

Hi, has anyone experience any increased anxiety with varying brands of metformin? My pharmacist has prescribed a few different brands of slow release over the last year or so and I definitely feel like different brands have a different impact on mental health it is that my imagination?!

Anxiety is a less common side effect of metformin, but it is a known one, so switching brands every now and again can have some effect. It's always the same song and dance with "It's the same thing, brand doesn't matter", but nah... You're not going off your rocker, this can be an issue. If the anxiety becomes debilitating, you might want to go (further/deeper) low carb, maybe you can do without the metformin entirely that way?
