Metformin brand changed. Sleep problems

My brand of metformin was changed a week ago from glucophage to mylan. I haven't had a nights sleep since. I'm just wondering if this would cause insomnia.
 
Hi , I've only been taking metformin for a week, and I've only slept 2 nights out of the 7...there are a few threads and postings about this topic on here, but basically it sucks and very common, hope it settles for you
 
Ive discovered tge brand glucophage sr gives me waves of sickness all day. So a brand change could be needed.
 
Check on the information slip that comes in your packet, it list all the known side effects. And/or speak to your pharmacist - unless there was good reason for the change, you ought to be able to swap back.

At one point my SR metformin brand was changed (our pharmacy always seem to be getting different brands of various medications!) and th e new brand made me ill. I spoke to our pharmacist, and she switched me back to the original brand and made a note not to issue the other one again.

Just checked my manufacturers..."Bristol" means nothing to me
