Metformin- how long do I stay with it?

most people egt used to the Metformin after a while and the side effects subside.

I'll confess though, I reckon it doesn't do much and have toyed with not taking it, as I think my low carb diet and exercise is 99% of the control.

Having awful probs with wind and diarhorea for a few months now- was ok on Metformin 500 - 1 am and pm last year - no problems at all (1st year after I couldn't control with diet) but dose was upped 6 months ago to 2 am and 2 pm with disastrous results - at least I hope its the cause. Followed all the advice - take with food. Doctor has taken me off them for a week and if there's no improvement I'm off to hospital for scans as she thinks the other cause could be my gall bladder as that was the only spot that hurt! I don't have any other medication which I'm a bit concerned about. 3 days now and I haven't been - don't know which is worse  Why aren't my smilies working when they are supposed to be on??? :)

Hi...been there and done that and the only solution I find helps is bran with everything.A couple of heaped spoons in the morning with cereal...and I'm talking table spoons!
Jual
