The Doctor added Gliclazade 80mg twice a day to my existing regime of 2x100mg Metformin twice a day and Januvia 100mg once a day. i have been taking them for a week and have had some horrible side effects. Constipation (never been a problem) Chronic indigestion at night. I go to bed an hour later I am taking pills to relieve the heartburn, last night was so bad I got up and watched TV until it abated 2 hrs later. I have also been feeling sick, and have a constant uncomfortable feeling as though my food is not digesting properly. Is there any one out there who has had similar problems with this combination of drugs?

Whether anybody else has had these problems or not, there are many side effects listed with ALL drugs. You need to get yourself to your GP's and discuss all this properly.

A simple change of drug and/or doseage may be all that is required. Some antacids should not be taken with certain diabetic drugs either, so you need to be sure the ones you are taking are safe for your med combination. Your GP or Pharmacist is the person to speak to about interactions.
