Metformin making me sick

I have been taking metformin 2000mgs for 3 days and today I was sick without warning. Previously I had been taking 1000mgs metformin with no symptoms. What do I do now?
 
If you are a Type 1 as you say in your profile, then I'm surprised that you are being prescribed Metformin. The standard medication for Type 1 is Insulin, compared to which Metformin has almost no effect on Blood Glucose.

Some T1 can develop insulin resistance and are given metformin - I think there’s some T1s on the forum that are also on met
