Metformin SR and fasting

    I did a 7.5 hr fast and a 14hr fast and my BG didn't go down. I was wondering whether Glucophage XR was available in the UK (I'm on SR) and found this info on Metformin.

    When the prolonged release tablet is administered in fasting conditions the AUC is decreased by 30% (both Cmax and Tmax are unaffected) https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/2095

    *AUC = Area Under The Curve
