Metformin timings

how many hours between taking metformin I was really hungry today and had lunch at 1pm but was not due to take my metformin until 2pm.
 
How many have you been told to take daily by your doctor ?
 
One at breakfast, one at lunch, and one at dinner :) I wouldn't worry too much about timing the hours between, so long as you don't eat all 3 meals inside of an hour lol
