Hello all I'm new to the site - 40 years type 1 and probably the best control I have ever had! I have recently been prescribed Metformin by my Consultant. I have noticed that since then I have a suppressed appetite. Any thoughts?
 
Metformin can suppress the appetite, it’s a recognised side effect. Useful in newly diagnosed type 2s who have weight to shift, but not so good if you are happy with your weight.
