I have been moved on to the slow release ones, but I still have bad "bum gravy" (as I call it) problems every now & then. Take it this is to be expected? I'm not as bad was when I was on the normal ones as it was constant & I can now go days with out any problems.
 
Hi. If even with Metformin SR you have bowel problems you need to think about the value of taking Metformin and discussing with the GP. As SweetLucie says, Metformin doesn't do that much and with the right diet and exercise many can avoid needing it.
