Meat only Kebabs are GREAT!! :D Just be careful of the sauces as there could be lots of Hidden carbs.

Probably not a very good subject to raise but if you had to buy fast food what would it be ... perhaps a small shish kebab would be ok?

I craved fish and chips just after diagnosis, but don't crave carbs at all now, and the idea of what could be in takeaway meat just makes me shudder, so I will pass on a takeaway, thanks!

My DH makes me mayonnaise using light olive oil and it tastes great :D He adds lemon juice instead of vinegar, and dijon mustard when mixing it. We put it in a screw-top jar and it keeps in the fridge for 4 days, but usually its gone by then.

I also have it with some crushed garlic in occasionally. And it also works as a base for home-made healthy tartare sauce, we just add a few chopped green olives, capers and gerkin.

It has saved my tastebuds!!!!

Shish kebab is a good choice and you could also have the salad with it if you dare..........I say this as I seen the salad being chopped-up on the same chopping board used for raw meat.

No not really

Paul1976:

In one bowl mix the oil and lemon juice.

In another bowl whisk the eggs. The slowly add the oil and lemon juice to the eggs whilst whisking.

Finally stir in the dijon mustard and crushed garlic (if wished) at the end. it takes about 5 mins
