Vanity, thy name is (diabetic) woman!
I have a load of weddings coming up this summer, and want to look fresh-faced as possible, especially as I am NOT the person getting married. I'm thinking about having a facial treatment before the functions and was wondering about micro-dermabrasion. This takes off outer layers of skin and encourages new growth of skin, thus you end up looking more radiant, better pores, etc etc etc.
However, I'm wondering whether diabetes might cause some problems with this treatment due to the problems with healing. I've never been a great one for scars healing, even before my diabetes (I have very pale skin) but having the outer layers of skin removed shouldn't cause any problems - right?
Anyone have any idea about this?
(And before anyone asks, I have good control - last H1AC 6.5 - and am otherwise healthy.)
