People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
Don't you think if farmer unions knew just how much bad research led to the butter mountains and turn to semi skimmed milk that they could use this to try n encourage people to use full fat milk and real butter and cheese? And more of it? Surely then perhaps some small milk farmers could change to cheese n butter instead?

I'm going to write to the farmer unions over the weekend. I just wonder if they are aware of how the markets changed according to bad research etc...its some of the reason why we ended up with butter mountains when everybody went to the low fat marg...

Great idea. I've often wondered why the NFU don't take on the Big Fat Myth. They of all people have a financial incentive to counter the myth. As well as full fat milk and dairy products there's also putting fatty meat and red meat back on the table. Literally.

The Milk Quota's being scrapped was a feature on the early morning BBC news yesterday, some farmers are concerned that it will drive down milk prices further when they are already struggling to make a living, here's an article from the BBC website:

Oh no!

Milk doesn't work for me. Has to be cream or butter or cheese (when the whey has been removed)

I don't actually want normal ppl to catch on about butter and cream.

If their metabolisms can cope with low fat cardboard and sweet, watery low fat milk, then they should carry on obsessing about low fat. I encourage it.

When the 'fat = good' finally hits the mainstream the cream won't be skimmed off the milk, so there will be less cream and butter available, and prices will shoot up.
