Hi,

I have been offered the Minimed 670g pump but without the CGM. Does anyone have experience of using this pump in manual mode or would something like the Accu-chek insight be better? I also have the libre so I have means of checking my BM's without finger pricks all day long but that wouldnt speak tothe 670g.

Hi
I like you have just been given my choices of pump. My minimed option was a 640g so at least the 670g is a step up from that. Yes you don't on the NHS anyhow get the accompanying cgm. But putting in your bs readings into your pump will mean that they do talk to each other. I was given a choice of 4 pumps. I researched the pros and cons of the 4 and have decided on the Insight and yes there are downsides to that too. Good luck.

I am on the 670G with cgm. For the first week I was on manual, along with cgm. This was just the same as the 640G.

I've now been on automatic for over 2 weeks and it has been great.

On manual the 670G would be a good basic pump. Obviously it has been designed for use with the cgm but will be fine without it.
