The carb value per 100g in Waitrose green lentils (10.9g canned and 8.3g dried) seems pretty low compared to dried Holland & Barrett Green Lentils which is given as 48.8g. Why the big difference?

I think by looking at the other nutrients, calories etc H&B per 100g is the dry weight and the Waitrose ones are 100g the cooked weight

The portion size on the bag your showing is 40g dry weight which equates to just over 19g per portion
The same size portion from the H&B ones cooked would be exactly the same

Hope that helps :)

I thought the pack is saying 40g dried makes 80g when cooked. The table says 80g (presumably cooked) is 6.6g carbs. Or am I confused as I thought lentils were higher?!

I agree with your interpretation. And since fibre is 12g for an 80g serving they seem a pretty good food...
