Misdiagnosis? type 2 levels what's going on

I got my diagnose 2 years ago. I went lowcarb and refused medication.

After a few weeks my bloodsugar was normal and i has stayed that way since.

I dont do anything halfway. I stopped eating unhealthy carbs 2 years ago. Im never eating more than 25-30g carbs per day again. No sugar ever!!!!

My weight is now normal and i probobly could est more carbs than i do. But it wont last.

Im a sugarholic and the only reason i can stay sugarsober is if i avoid it.

I dont miss sugar and carbs at all! Took about 12 months before the sugarcravings disapeared.

If you want to stay medication free, then you have to accept that you can never eat carbs again. (Well atleast never more than 30-40g/day)

Surely it depends on the carbs?
I've stopped eating anything sugary/simple carbs
Juice,fruit,sweets etc
I haven't had any for more than 6 months
I can eat 30/40g carbs in one meal and not see a rise in blood sugar(depending on type of carb/meal)

This is where I'm confused
Everyone on here states no carbs at all
My diabetic dietician says I can have carbs in moderation (even saying I could have dessert etc occasionally)
I'm not overly fussed for carbs if I'm honest but I'm not working at the moment and eating very low carb isn't doable financially

I eat around 25 g of carbs a meal, anymore than that and my readings go out of my targets. I think I have realised that for my long term health 99.9% of the time I have to be good. But for me, I can have a treat if it’s scaled down to reduce the carb intake as much as possible. I’m not on meds, just diet and exercise.

Yeah i could probobly eat any carb i wanted now.

For awhile

Then after awhile i would gain weight and my insulinresistance would increase to the point that my bloodsugar would rise out of control again. Like i said in my first post: im a sugaraddict.

Like an alcoholic or heroinist i need to stay clear of that s***. Eating to much carbs gives me sugarcravings.
