Nope.........
I've been on Insulatard for 10 years and been doing the same thing injecting before breakfast then late afternoon before my dinner, works for me ................

My highest readings are often my fasting reading, my insulin dose is a 24 hour long acting dose. I take it first thing in the morning as it needs to be taken same time every day. I use my alarm clock.
Overnight I go into the 8's but by morning it has risen to about 11 or 12.
After breakfast I am often back down to 8's
