Missed long acting insulin?

Good morning, I have woken up with unusually high reading and I suspect that I missed my long acting dose last night but can’t be 100% sure. I only take this once a day in the evenings so no second morning dose. What do I do? Do I continue to run high and try and correct with quick acting or do I inject some sort of a long acting dose and hope that I’m not doubling up? Thanks. M

I'd just keep testing through the day and correcting as needed.

Otherwise you will end up with overlapping doses if you take it at your normal time tonight.

I'm pretty sure many of us have been there before if it helps :)

Hi , it easy to forget . I use A Timesulin cap which tells me when I last dosed and it has been a godsend on both insulin types .

I once took my fast acting insulin rather than long acting before bed one night. Had a feast at 11pm that night......
