Mitochondrial disease and Type1A

@kesun @worcesterwoman @oldeboy @Ceesharp

I've only just come across this thread, it's great that there are a few more of us on the forum now, so I was wondering if it might be worth asking if we can have our own group? Last time I tried this, a few years ago, I was told that there weren't enough of us to make it viable (I think there was just me and oldeboy here back then), but I definitely think it would be worthwhile now.

Having MIDD makes me feel very isolated sometimes, and I can't really talk to my sister about it, who obviously also has this, because she only has the deafness and doesn't really understand about the diabetes or the fatigue, plus she really doesn't like to discuss it. Sometimes I get the impression that my family just think I'm lazy!! So it would be fantastic to be able to talk to others who understand what it's like to deal with this on a daily basis and to share advice, etc.

Anyway, what do other people think about us asking if we can have are own group? It would also make it a bit easier to keep track of each other and any threads related to MIDD.

I hope you have made some progress in your mitochondrial disease,I also have mitochondrial disease and mitochondrial type 1 diabetes,and attend newcastle university genetics clinic
