Hi I've just had this back yesterday! Does this mean I've gone into the pre diabetic range or is it still dibetic?5694.jpg
 
The pre-diabetic range is 42-47 and then 48 + is diabetic. If you are within 42-47 (can't really tell exactly from the graph) then you are in the pre-diabetic range.

Congratulations on getting it down from nearly 90 so quickly, it's a real achievement. What have you done to get it down so well? Well done, you should be proud of yourself.
 
Very nearly there then, it's great progress in such a short time. I was 110 in Jan 2023 (complete shock with no symptoms). It took me two years to get it to your level so really well done.

I am now 38 and have lost 6 stone, a big part of it has been this forum and learning about low carbs diets etc. I don't feel I got comprehensive help from the Diabetic Nurse (she was great but was telling me to still eat grapes and brown bread etc. It just seems like she was way behind with her advice).

I've now gone onto a Low Carb intake as I did notice my spikes were terrible after bread even though it was brown. So I've found a Low Carb bread it's expensive but I only have 2 slices a day so not so bad and then 100grams of potato for tea and my mmol is staying low even after eating! But then I panic when they go into the 4s mmol. Can't win gosh it's hard work.
 
Looking at your HbA1c results graph, that’s a very positive downward trend, from what were high blood sugars. You are doing great @Dee1960 :) .
Yes, all carbs turn to sugar, no matter whether they are so called health carbs like whole wheat, healthy grains or just plain white bread. All carbs are turned into sugars by our body.
As far as blood sugars go, if you are not on blood sugar lowering meds that can cause hypoglycaemia (excluding Metformin as in generally it does not cause hypoglycaemia) , then blood sugars dropping into the mid 3’s is nothing to worry about. Blood sugars in the 4’s are great and are considered optimum.

Thank you for the reassurance its taking me a while to get used to going lower. I suppose I'll get there and become more confident.
