............ and a little bump for the later night shift.

After lying dormant from the forum for a few weeks, I return to find I've been nominated as a mod, failed to respond and missed deadline. I was both flattered and relieved....and very pleased to leave the field clear for people who could do a proper job of it. Good luck to whoever wins, and try to be gentle on us occasional transgressors. We mean well.
Hard to choose between an excellent field.

There is a science behind picking the "funniest" names.

If you happen to run foul of the Mods (can't see how anyone could personally), getting told off by @DCUKMod makes you quake in your boots, but if the mod is called @Pipp it's much less frightening

Totally agree and imagine being on the end of a good talking to by someone called Rhubarb, for example?

You’d think you were in a pantomime listening to kids hiss at the baddie in my case (it’s actually nothing to do with snakes or pantomimes)

Another shameless bump

And there was I thinking I was the font of all tact and diplomacy.

And a gentle bump

Can’t this be made a “sticky” on the Recent Posts page?

I’m running out of stupid things to post

On here I'm generally polite - I get a bit more punchy on twitter. Ironic given on twitter I'm using my real name...but I assume everyone who comes here needs friendly help, whereas some of the people on twitter need a good talking to.

There's a short and a less short answer to that one.

The short answer is No.

The longer answer is it has been stickied in it's host sub-forum. We can't sticky on Recent Posts.

I bet you're thrilled you asked.

I remember a sketch one time where all anyone said was rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb.

Correction. It was a movie entitled Rhubarb.

I only do the telling off for the more serious trangressions.
Keeping on track, now, and bumping thread.

Thanks. Now you're even more frightening than DCUKMod. And no, I'm not going off topic here, the thread simply needed bumping after 8 minutes. I think.
