Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
Having noted a reference to MODY in another thread I went and looked it up on this site.
There doesn't seem to be a dedicated forum, and the description says that it is similar to T2 in presentation and may not require insulin.
It also says that it is found up to around 25 years old.
I thought there were some forum members diagnosed much later?
Anyway, I was intrigued by the Glucokinase variant because this affects the mechanism for regulating blood glucose and could (I assume) be independent of the usual suspects of insulin resistance and production.
Anyone here diagnosed with this variant?
