What is a good monitor for the following criteria?

1)EASE OF USE(no need for graphs,apps,interactivity)

2)AFFORDABLE(both kit,strips and lance)

3)AVAILABILITY((of strips, lance)


Don't feel like getting ripped off by an o early pushy salesman

I agree with @bulkbiker that the Code Free although the cheapest at face value for strips, I found that it was giving more and more unexpected results which meant I was retesting too often for my liking, so negating any saving on strips. I now use one from Spirit Health.
 
I use the Contour Next meter because it is said, on independent testing, to have greatest accuracy (-/+ 5%).
Being in Australia we have to pay for meters and strips so cannot comment on what costs are involved for you.

I tested the Contour Next One for a month against a Abbot Freestyle Freedom Lite, and it was reading nearly 2.0 mmol/l more that the Freedom Lite, which was putting out consistent readings that matched the pathology shops.

Not quite correct as meters are still being given away by the manufacturers, and the strips are subsidised when you are a member of NDSS.

I pay $1.20 for 100 strips being a member with a PBS concession card, without a consecration card they are around $7.00 per 100.
 
I was thinking about the safe AQ smart kit by Sinocare?

Looks like a basic entry level jobby

I have never heard of it. For availability, cheap strips, ease of use etc. you would be better with the Tee 2 from Spirit Health as mentioned by others above.
