Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum you have my deepest sympathy.
I'm sorry I'm not going to be much help with advice I'm what they affectionately term a Newbie here on this site. You have had an awful lot going on so its no wonder things have taken a downward turn. On the plus side you've done really well in the past so there's no reason why you can't get back on track but at the moment you're still grieving so you need to give yourself some time.
I can help with the smilie faces though! If you click on more options below where you're typing you will notice a line of icons running along the top of your message and there you will find the smilie face, first click the smilie face at the top of the screen and all the faces will appear at the bottom.
Good morning Rosserk. Thank you for your kind words. Yes I am still missng my Mum terribly and I do know it takes a long time.
I think it is just disappointing when you think you've cracked it (diabetes) and then it goes pear-shaped lol. My problem is I am very slim naturally and so any drop in food intake has a major impact on my weight and this gets me down. Trying to find food that will keep weight on and not have sugar in it is proving difficult. Thanks again - and I'm going to try a smilie now lol
Yea!!!
It does sound to me as though you need some tests for possible type 1.5 or LADA. I haven't enough knowledge of this so I'll tag @Daibell who is a type 1.5.
