If you ever visit Australia, I suggest you do not pickup and pet our spiders especially the Funnel Web and Red Back spiders as the will make you pretty crook and you needing antivenin shots.

I know about animals even spiders, I was recently in Costa Rica where they have a lot of poisonous and dangerious animals. Even the UK has a few of poisonous animals lol. Also with Australia platypuses have venom and a lot of dangerous animals can be equally as bad like kangaroos even though they have no venom but still.
I would never pick up any spider lol. I’m not scared of them but would never hold one. The only spider I’ve held was a pet trantuala

As a keen LCHFer being stalked by a creeping banana is a lot more scary than a spider (presumably excluding your Aussie ones though, @Tipetoo) - and just think of the dire consequences too if I turned on it and actually ATE it!
Being chased by, or better still chasing after, this little fattie would be much more fun
