Good morning.

Type 2 5 monhts in.

My average morning readings have been aound 6.4/6.5 for the past few monhts. Over the past few days they have gone to around the 7.4 mark.

I am on Metformin 2 x 500 per day.

No change in diet over the past couple of weeks.

Other levels during the day seem to have stayed the same.

Look forward to helpful responses.

Have you been unwell? If you are feeling unwell or been unwell this will change your reading!
Have you been under extra stress?
I am sure that these two change blood reading's, i am sure someone else will have some good points before long! I am still new but trying to help!

Hi Whatashock.

I presume we are talking about your waking/fasting Bg levels here ?

If so it may just be the dawn phenomenon having some effect ? Sandy is also correct in her previous answer, Stress. Can have a great effect on Bg levels. What you ate the night before has a strong influence. Ahem, nocturnal activities can also have an effect ? :D

I know that if my Bg rises above normal in the morning I can usually pin it down to something I did or something I ate or drank the night before.

Ken.
