Morning readings sometimes higher

Still on the 2 metformin a day for last 6 weeks since diagnosois with t2

Was getting 5.2s and 5.5s but last few days ive seen 6.3s 6.5s and today 6.7 witha 5.3 sandwiched in between.

as long as im under 7 would you say thats still ok??????

Im highest in the morning ive noticed

Your Bgs are fine, you don't say if they are before or after eating and this will make a difference as to how they are interpreted.

8mmols and coming down after two hours is regarded as OK, but personally I keep mine below that if I can, maybe no more that 7 mmol.

Before meals I aim for 5 ish, but don't always manage that unless I have excercised.

It is important to monitor the trend, if it is upwards you need to watch what you eat or increase excercise.

My guess (and that is all it can be) is that youwill come back down again in a couple of days.

Many things can affect your BGs, a slight cold will push mine up, a hot bath will as well, so just keep an eye on the trend.

But your readings could be the envy of many on here, and are good. (for a T2 that is )

Its in the morning after i have showered and brushed my teeth i test before any food and it was around the 5s but noticed it going up a bit to the higher 6s these last few days

After food i try to be no more than 8.5 after 1 hour and no more than 6.5 after 2 hours which ive been doing

Just the morning readings i cant seem to get to what i want all the time - I want to be no more than 6 every morning but cant seem to do it
