I hadn't taken lunch to work today so I popped across to Morrissions to their snack counter. Didn't fancy the heavily carbed sandwiches/wraps so I opted for a little snack pot containing sweet potato falafel and hummous. Carbs was a bit tricky to work out as it gave per 100g for the 2 items separately. The whole pack was 110g so I did a bit of guesswork and plumped for 25g. Blood sugars 2 hours later 6 - result. Not a hugely filing lunch but a nice tasty treat and I was able to have a small plum at 5g carbs with it (my lunchtime carb limit is about 35g).

Morrisons do offer a good range of choices compared to other supermarkets, the one near to where I work has a fantastic salad bar as well.

I use and do this 'often' popping into moggys [as my granddaughter calls it!]
Pick up some kiddies fruit punnets and carrot portions preboxed .
Hit both the salad or freshly prepared fruit bars . [love the grapefruits/melons/apples all prewashed and sliced up]
Choosing to my taste and diabetic low carb needs
Alongside the bacon medallions and lean roasted ham/chicken sliced at their deli bar too .
Grab my salads needs too and fresh veggies also whilst shopping .

A small salad box costs just £1.29 - many times I use just the one box
for two snacks of the day !
Grab bottles of water packs on their special offer deals too

Hope this can help .

Anna .

Morrisons also do some nice tapas stuff in the chilled section.
