I have several very uncomfortable mosquito bites on my legs, would they be a reason for my elevated blood sugar levels?

Purely anecdotal, but earlier in the year I had bites up my legs and my sugars went up. Don't know of any 'proper' evidence supporting this though.

I would say so, bites and stings certainly cause changes in the blood and trigger impulses which can release all manner of stuff into the system depending on the culprit. I recently had a nasty little infection following a horse-fly bite (because I have to take am immuno suppressants) and my levels went up. Besides, it is clear that stress alone can cause an increase a scan almost any damned thing.

As a child and young adult my sweet blood would attract bug and mosquito bites. They all loved my sweet blood. Sisters and friends never got bitten. Just me!

Could it be your higher bg was there first?
It was in my case. I was undiagnosed but suffered with thrush and sweats. More so on holiday as treats were more available.
