Probably give them a bell doing the week ....... !From what I’ve read there are several more increases in dose of Mounjaro available, maybe you could speak to your GP about the possibility of an increase for you? It would be a shame to undo the achievements you’ve made so far.
Been on Mounjaro for around a year now prescribed By my Doctor, When i started on it my weight was a little over 17st after two or three months this came down to 14st 8lbs which i was pleased with ........ This did my Diabetes the world of good! and i felt good!! But now my weight is creeping up to 15st 5lbs?? I take 5mg of Mounjaro every sunday morning at about 06:30am. never had any problems! Has anyone else has this problem ?? if it is a problem??
Well done on your positive changes!
I am also on Mounjaro. I have been on it for about two months. I have lost 1 stone in weight (from 18st to 17st) so much slower rate than you.
If you don’t mind me asking…
- Do you do much exercise?
- Were you on insulin before?
Wasn't on insulin at all, Doctor wanted me to lose the weight to Improve my diabetes. i was very Suspicious about Mounjaro but doctor spoke very highly of it so decided to give it a go! to my surprise it worked really well for a while. was disappointed when I started to gain weight so doctor decided to up my dosage. As for exercise at my age "71" im not likely to be running any Marathon but i do a good peace of walking and i do tend to give gyms I miss I leave them to all the young stallions. !!
Diagnosed with T2 diabetes in 2016. I lost a little weight on diagnosis (from 17st to 15st) which helped but I could get lower.
I had maxed out on 1g of Metformin and was on an escalating dose of dapagliflozin (which helped a little with the weight loss).
My GP practice doesn’t have Mounjaro on their formulary and so a year ago I started to purchase online.
My latest HbA1c is 38 (down from 69 on other medication). I’m at 12st (BMI 25). Off all other medication (including ramipril for hypertension). I increased my dose and have been at 12.5mg now for 5 months - that works fine and everything has stabilised.
For me the side effects from metformin were worse than for Mounjaro. I do exercise more (mainly walking), I take food-state multivitamin supplements and have made a conscious effort to eat a better diet & drink less - all easier on this drug.

I’ve noticed the same thing where after a good loss my weight starts to creep back up. Often it’s just normal ups and downs. You could try mixing up your meals (more veggies, maybe a bit less carbs) or squeezing in a short walk a few times a week.
as others have said, speak to your Dr about increasing the dosage - you can go all the way up to 15mg in 2.5mg increments each month - the effect on your appetite does wane over time, hence the need to increase dosageProbably give them a bell doing the week ....... !
