Mouth Ulcers

For the past couple of weeks, I have had a furred tongue, ulcers inside my cheeks and what feels like cuts on my tongue. Is it thrush? How can I treat it?
 
I'd call GP. They'll probably prescribe you some nasty milky syrup for it. Also, you're more likely to develop thrush when your bg is running a bit high.

I'm not a medical expert, but I know that fungal conditions thrive in a sweet environment. Diabetes can create the right conditions for thrush and similar conditions, so do pop along to your doctor.

Hi @lynbrown I had this when I had iron deficiency from lansoprozol. Have you had your blood panels checked lately?

Could be. Simple solution would be to go to pharmacy and show them. If it is thrush they have cheap and simple remedies available. No need to bother the doctor.

Hi I did go to the pharmacy but the medicine available clashed with my statins and they would not give it to me. Going to try water and salt gargle.
 
When I was iron deficient I had blisters on the side of my tougue as if they had been rubbing on my teeth. e.g swollen tongue but not.
Not sure if scarlet fever in household played any influence. Then viruses for weeks of the throat and voice thereafter. All in the summer.
Maybe just viral, for us.
