Moving Counties - Do I keep my funding?

Hello everyone once again!

I currently have funding from my GP for the Libre and also funding from my hospital for the pump. I'm still on trial with the pump but it's looking very likely that I will be keeping it.

I'm now looking at moving out from home. Ideally I want to move out of Cornwall, however, I'm unsure as to whether I'd keep my funding for both the Libre and the pump. Both bits of kit have improved my control monumentally and I don't want to lose them.

I just don't want to move away too far if there's a chance I might lose my funding and such. Anyone had experience with this please?

Go online and look at the CCG prescribing rules for the area that you are moving to. Compare it with how easy or difficult it was to get it in your current area.

Hi @indyjholtzmann, I have just changed hospitals as when I moved to a different county/CCG I stayed at the hospital that had funded my pump. I don't know what the official stance is but I mentioned it to my GP prior to changing hospitals and I got the impression it was up to the new hospital whether they wanted to carry on funding my pump or not. I don't have a libre (yet) so can't comment on that
