Here they have applied MRI to study fatty hearts but it also goes as far as at least implying a Type 2 cure viz
"Using cardiac MRI, the researchers analyzed cardiac function and pericardial fat in 15 patients - including seven men and eight women - with type 2 diabetes. They were analyzed before and after four months of a diet consisting of 500 calories daily. Changes in body mass index were also measured."

So... what exactly would you get to eat a day with this little food? Not sure I want to be so drastic but it is tempting. Wish there was a diet plan so I could at least consider it... 8)

3 packets of modifast a day.
Cardiac fat was reduced 18months later but HbA1c etc went back to baseline. Those people who dieted and exercised still had better insulin sensitivity after 18months...but they were the ones that continued to exercise for 3+hours a week.
