I am now totally muddled am I type 1 or 2, I started on insulin after being rushed into hospital in a coma thought I was tired lol. Plus the locum doctor told me a few months before I was menopausal.Anyway managed to wean off the injections through diet and now just on medication. Yes I would ask my doctor or nurse but although I speak french all the technical words are beyond me. Any ideas?

I can only guess. If you were overweight before you went into hospital and not managing the carbs then T2 comes to mind. I'm sure the menopause doesn't help. If you were near normal weight when you went into hospital then perhaps you also have some islet cell failure and hence tending towards T1. If the latter then your diabetes may progress to needing insulin again so do use the meter to keep it monitored and the HBa1C should also be a guide
