Multiple symptoms relating to type 2 badly managed

Hi would be interesting to know if any of you fine folks suffer similarly to me especially if Like me you fell into bad habits for an extended period of time causing symptoms to surface. I have multiple sites of pain almost every body part at some stage in a week not severe but annoying background in most cases. Now that i intend long term to listen and learn and manage my condition sensibly how long should i be expected to wait to see improvement in symptoms. Will i also be able do you think to start to be able to reduce medication given for the type 2 currently 1000mg and 5mg trajenta daily . I would also be interested to hear peoples opinions on the other daily meds i take that could possibly cause some of the discomforts i suffer and wether it may be them rather than the type 2 meds causing the symptoms.cyanocobalamin 50mcg and Atorvastatin 10mg.

I used to suffer from quite severe back pain, but read somewhere about statins causing similar problems, so I left them off for a month and guess what??? No pain since. Apparently there are alternatives to simvastatin nut they would not prescribe due to the cost. I,m waiting to see my GP to discuss.

Its a lottery - i have some fairly severe back pains much of the time but i have had that many pains over such a long period its difficult to know where to start and what to blame.

Can you swim? There is nothing better for severe back pain than gentle swimming up and down. Take it from one that knows!!

As for sweeteners, there is always controversy. I'm no expert because I only use them in my tea. I use Sweetex, which are saccharine based and supposed to be OK. I think ones with aspartame in are the baddies. I've used Sweetex for over 30 years and am still here!

i used to swim a lot in my younger days but for the last 30yrs its been confined to holidays abroad splashes in the sea and pools ,i may well try and get back in a routine that includes swimming at least once a week .

There was a time when I had pretty severe back pain.
I found the girlie toning beds at the local gym were an absolute godsend.

I just lay there like some Victorian heroine, and the machine waggled my legs and back.

And I would be incredibly pain reduced for about 3 days.
So then I went back...

But I quite understand if blokes cringe in horror at the thought of those machines. They're a bit wussy.
