Muscle pain and heat sensations.

Hi,
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in Feb/April through other medical conditions, thankfully I've managed to bring my levels down to 44. However in that time, and again today I have had a warm heat sensation in my right thigh, almost like a heat patch being placed on my skin. I wondered if anyone had experienced this too. It's not painful, just bizarre.
My main worry at the moment is very sore feeling to my sides/ribs and upper back muscles. Only way I can describe it is that if feels like the muscular tissue has shifted/came loose from around my bones. Heat has helped via hot water bottle & ibuprofen - cocodamol help a bit, but not greatly. Waking & moving first this in the morning from being in the same position is excruciating. I'm drinking as much water as I can. Currently taking Metformin twice a day.
Really any advice would be greatly appreciated, any foods that could help etc.

Thank you kindly,
Heather

I do not have diabetes
I think you should make an appointment with your doctor and discuss this. It could be caused by many things. Out of interest are you on statins as well as the metfartin?

There are a lot of muscular complaints that cause the symptoms you state. I have polymyalgic rhumatica (hope that is the correct spelling) This causes aches in arms shoulders, thighs etc especially first thing in the morning. You should go to the doctor and write your symptoms down so you don't forget them (only going by what I do, I say "no I'm fine" and then come out.) Good luck. Please let us know how you get on.
