Muscle pain Freestyle Libre arm

Since some days i have (muscle) pain in my left arm. It started at night when i tried to lay on my side or belly, so i have to lie on my back now. But today i also noticed the pain during the day.
It’s exactly the arm where i have my freestyle libre sensor on. The spot itsself does not seem to be inflamed and no pain if i press a bit on the sensor, but my triceps and elbow really feel
Uncomfortable. I havent been to the gym or done anything strange. Also its my left arm which i dont over use as im right-handed.

I wonder if this could be related to the sensor, but with 8 days left i dont want to take it off for nothing. Readings seem fine.

Did anyone ever experience this?

Myself i had problems two times in the past with inflamed skin directly under the sensor after swimming. But this is completely different. If it gets worse i think ill just take the sensor off and see if it helps. Really hope its not related..ive been using the libre sensors now for almost 10 years. Maybe my body got tired of it or something..

Funny you should bring this up. Last night I put on a new sensor (Free Style Libre). Where my old sensor was situated there was a big bruise. It is quite noticeable. My brother, who is type 1, ripped his off after his sensor caused him a great deal of pain. I have no answers as to why mine or my brother's had issues.

I moved away from libre because of arm pain.. tried a Dexcom g7 recently with the same result

And I still feel it several day after removing

I think if you don’t have any fat on the arm or you fit slightly too low then the inserter need hits the muscle. You should aim for above the muscle in the flabby bit

Hi,

Oddly. The last Libre sensor I had banged on left arm popped a numb sensation to the little & ring finger on my hand?
Like a “dead arm” when you bang an elbow..

It did ease off & I persevered for the 14 days. Must have struck a nerve…

Exactly the same here. Pain remained present after removing the sensor, but it is slowly getting better after some days since i removed the sensor. I also experienced the tingling in my fingers on that arm. Indeed i do not have much fat on my arm and i tend to go to the gym. I didnt want to inform abbot as i was afraid they would stop sending me any sensors.
I tried on my leg before, but also cannot rule out any effects there. But if i tey another sensor i might opt for my leg, no way for my arm anymore.
It is a bit strange as i have been using the libre for 10 years, and in the first years i had no issues. But now if i look back some pains in my arm which i thought came from sitting much behind a computer, could be related to the libre..

Just came across this thread whilst 'googling' sensor arm pain. Again, being using them for a couple of years with no problems, this was on my left arm which is not used as much as the right, my arm has a little chub on it too :) and the arm has been really uncomfortable. Unable to sleep comfortably, radiates down to the elbow and up to the shoulder - so much so that I was beginning to think old age and arthritis was creeping up on me.
Being thrifty and more willing to be in pain than lose a valuable sensor, I have persevered until it was due to be changed yesterday. Already feels a lot better but there is still a 'deeper' pain - almost like its in the bone rather than the flesh.
I also don't want to mention it within medical circles as I'm due to have my long awaited pump fitted this week and not being able to wear sensors would scupper that plan.
