Type 2 My 2 Meters are showing 2 different readings

Hi Everybody, I'm a newbie to the forum and I have a bit of a situation.
Here goes;
I have 2 BG meters
One is the SD code free, which I have had for almost 2yrs, However a week ago I got the Care Sens Dual, This is so I can test my ketone levels, I want to start a ketogenic diet to better control my Type 2 Diabetes.
I have been using both meters and their readings are never the same.
This evening my readings were
SD Code free 5.7
Care Sens Dual 5.1
Which one should I take as correct.

It’s not going to,help with an answer but I have used test strips from the same set of strips literally 10 seconds apart and have had 2 different readings.

The industry standard for glucose meter accuracy is plus / minus 15%. Your two meters differ by just 0.6 so i would say that they are both within range. Have a look here it explains in more detail http://www.diabetes.co.uk/blood-glucose-meters/blood-glucose-meter-accuracy.html

My advice is to put one meter away for emergencies only and stick to one. Otherwise you will just confuse yourself. It is uncommon to get the same readings, whether you use one meter and test a few times consecutively, or 2 meters, or 6 meters.
Either one of them could be correct, or they could both be wrong.
