Hi all. For the past 3 days, my BGL after eating has been around 5.6 and 5.7.. Today after eating my lunch which was 2 chicken drumsticks, one tomato and 1 baby bell cheese, my GL 2 hours after eating was 5.1 I did do some 10 min exercises which I don't usually do because I usually potter about quite a bit. Would this have made the difference?

I'd be perfectly happy with those figures. But how did you actually feel at these level?

I actually felt a bit queasy but nothing bad, I ate 3 strawberries after taking my BS. I wondered if my BGL's were a little lower than usual after eating, this is why I took the BS. Probably just not used to being that low after eating. Usually around 5.6

I would regard ~5 as pretty much flatline and suggests minimal circulating insulin. The holy grail of glucostability. It may take some time for your body to feel comfortable with those numbers after years of elevation. Otherwise no cause for concern. In fact the opposite.

Those are levels to be aspired to. Absolutely perfect. There was an an insignificant amount of carbs in that meal so of course you should be seeing those levels after 2 hours. You have very little need to be concerned about hypos. You are not on any medication for diabetes, and your liver will take care of you if you drop lower than your body likes. Next time, leave out the strawberries and keep testing after the 2 hour mark to see what happens.

5.1 after eating are not low, and shouldn’t make a difference if you’re used to 5.6. The difference are marginal and can for all we know just be within the normal margin of error on your meter.

I think there were other reasons for discomfort :)
