He was on holiday in Cyprus for Christmas. On Christmas Eve he was taken to hospital with a bad chest infection and found three other people on the 4 bed ward also from the hotel with the same thing. Had all the necessary scans, x-rays and was put on a antibiotic drip. The next day Doctor came around and said 'I see you have T2' your food will be suitable for a diabetic. They said that visitors will be given dinner as well. Dinner arrived, roast turkey and all the trimmings, the nly thing missing from my brothers plate.................a yorkshire pudding. Supper was jacket potato and baked beans.

He made a good recovery and was able to finish his holiday.

Glad he recovered and was able to finish his holiday despite the carby supper!

Not pleasant being in hospital, especially over Christmas Day. Shame about the jacket spud and baked beans, but the Christmas Dinner may have been OK as a one-off if he was careful not to eat too many roast potatoes! Glad he made a good recovery and managed to finish his holiday. Another doctor that needs re-educating though.
