My last appointment with the DN went like this, HbA1c is 41 - good, weight 8st 10lb (over 4 stones loss) blood pressure - OK, LDL is high, well it wasn't a fasting test (I'd had two cups of coffee with cream and full fat yogurt with blueberries as I didn't know they were going to test it), I said, well you don't know the breakdown of the LDL and she started talking about Trigs, I said we were talking about LDL, she changed the subject. The only thing she could say and did, 'don't put any weight on'. I got up said goodbye and left, my husband said that I was a bit rude. Unfortunately I don't suffer fools gladly.
