Sue Morton said:I too have only recently been diagnosed as type2 my level was 25.3 but I find it all a mine field with the food - eating more salads have porridge and one of the them small yogurts in th porridge (made with water) I was diagnosed on 23 March and didn't get to see the Diabetic nurse until 19 April and really felt at a loss. Reading this forum has helped a lot seeing how others cope what problems they have etc it really does help. I keep geting bouts of the runs with all the fruit, veg and salads that i am eating. I do feel quite depressed about it all though as I have a blood condition called polycycthemia Vera its where you produce to many red blood cells and they gradually get larger and at first i had to have a pint of blood removed every month then 2months and for a while every 3 months but the last few times it has been reduced to 2 months again. then last feb 09 i was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had the tumour and a couple of small ones removed and chemo but now it looks like its coming back it just seems one thing after another. I haven't get got my BG stable eitherand confused

My dosage of Gliclazide has been doubled, I have my blood testing equipment to monitor my own levels and my next appointment is in 2 weeks.
