I understood that we have uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, therefore we are overweight.
Otherwise, why does my stick-thin sister, who eats far more than I ever have, remain thin whilst I have become gradually more and more overweight even though I havent increased my food intake for years. In fact, I have been dieting for years.
And its not because she is more active either, she is a couch potato. But she hasnt got type 2 diabetes, not even pre-diabetes, and she is older than me.
I look and take after my fathers side of the family and his side have type 2 diabetes. My sister looks like and takes after my mothers side. They dont have any type 2 in that side.
so please dont blame yourself for your weight.
Type 2 Diabetes causes weight gain. Insulin grabs the fat and stores it before your body can use it, causeing obesity, tiredness and some malnutrition.
