why can't everyone get on........
**** !!! been a great day today -- all readings until just now have been all within 3.6 - 7.6 so a good day BG wise

evening meal tonight total carbs 63
starting blood 6.8
bolus 13.25

2 hour test 9.6
3 hour test 8.8
just now( 4 hour) 17.6 , then a retest at 14.0 ( 4.05 correction ) followed by a 3rd retest getting a 9.1
so now the OMG -- i have over bolused feeling is sinking in -- **** -- it was a good day before this :eek:

pod change is due tomorrow at approx 8:15am
25u left in pod at this time
 
Wow. That was a huge meal bolus! That alone would scare me. Know the over bolus issue well though.

normal ratio for me is 1u:5 at tea time so with a 6.8 start it is about my normal-- should have said -- over corrected at 11pm -- sorry folks

Hi Paul,

I had a similar experience last Friday night, bg levels in range all day then late evening started to creep-up, went to bed at midnight and bg level was 12.7, on closer inspection of the pod there was a damp patch at the cannula end, it was due to be changed in the morning so I just changed it then.

These things can be annoying but don't let it get you down :)
 
I've had that experience too on a couple of occasions :eek:

i got up and tested at 2am ( 8.8 ) and gave a 1.4u correction

4.5 this morning -- pod change in the next 15 minutes

all's well that ended well

Good to hear you got through it, a bit of an anxious time for you. I hope you have a fab Friday :)
 
Glad to hear your ok today. Last night I was at 6.8mmol/l so decided to do some gardening and mowing, 40 minutes later i am at 3.7 so had some choc and a biscuit then spent all night chasing my BG down.. (It was worth it for the dark choc orange :)) Woke at 3.9 this morning so back down to earth again !!

Aww Paulllllll :( don't we just love our pumps sometimes remember you have to laugh or you will cry and we're all too stubborn to cry over a pump *big hug* glad you're ok this morning my friend
