Gobsmacked today. Been on a Pump for 9 months but my Hba1c was 8.4%. Originally told target should be 7-7.9%. I am Type 1 -53years . dietitian said it was acceptable as I am a young 75years old!

how are you finding being on the pump ?
are you talking regularly to your Diabetic specialist nurse to review settings ?
8.4% does seem a bit high

and huge hurrahs for the 53 years too :)

Hi. I DO LOVE my Pump and the last couple of days have had very low sugars. Just got to keep it up until I go back to Diabetic Clinic in August. I wasn't happy about being told at the time 8.4% was OK but on reflection I think she was being kind as she knows I am a worrier!
 
LOL -- after 53 years you must allow yourself some time not to worry:)
I worry a bit -- but not 100% of the time

i think you are amazing -- with 53 years D and being on a pump
